Character Archetype: The Hero

The hero
The most commonly used archetype is the hero. This can be a male or a female obviously, and is frequently used for both. Personally I would employ you not to take on this archetype solely, if you must then hybrid it with another. The character is generally overly brave, very good at fighting or something that allows them to constantly exceed at otherwise impossible tasks and often leaves the most room for a character to become a snowflake. It is paramount that you do not become a snowflake, especially with this archetype. That means do not become some super powerful mutant warrior of which there is only one remaining, able to use magic and has developed their own martial arts style. It's bad roleplay and you'll be ignored more often than not, with your reputation decreasing the longer this seemingly flawless and unique character is exposed.

Common goals: To prove one's worth through courageous acts, to master something in a way that improves the world.
Common fears: Weakness, vulnerability, not being able to protect ones friends.
Common strategy: To be as strong and competent as possible. Experience. Training.
Strength: Competence. Courage. Experience. Strength.
Weakness: Arrogance, always needing another fight or battle.
